This year there will be a Psychiatry Summer School held in Cork for the first time, as well as dates, once again, in Dublin and Galway. They are as follows:

Dublin – Friday, 22nd August 2014

Galway – Friday, 29th August 2014

The dynamic one day programme includes interactive seminars with Consultants and Trainees, tours of Psychiatry facilities, emphasizing cutting edge science and psychiatric subspecialties.  There will also be an evening reception held following each event and ample opportunity throughout the day to informally meet with current Trainees, Consultants and other students.

Psychiatry Summer School

We will highlight those interesting and stimulating aspects of Psychiatry that are not covered in a standard undergraduate Psychiatry placement. Feedback from the last 3 years has been overwhelmingly positive. The College of Psychiatrists of Ireland is proud to showcase the multifaceted and varied aspects of Psychiatry.

The Summer School is FREE to attend. To book your place at one of these events, please contact Ms. Karen McCourt at kmccourt@irishpsychiatry.ie Please include details in your email of (i) your name, (ii) contact telephone number, (iii) university, (iv) training year/intern position and (v) locations of any previously held clinical placements in psychiatry.
