Fellows in Teaching & Academic Development appointed

Eight members of faculty have been appointed as UCD Fellows in Teaching & Academic Development 2023-25 to work on university-wide enhancement in teaching and learning through strategic policy and practice-based research. The appointments were announced by Professor Colin Scott, UCD Registrar and Deputy President, who acknowledged the prestige of the Fellowship Scheme and the strategic importance of the work to be undertaken by the Fellows.

The newly-appointed Fellows, who will collaborate on one of the two following research themes, are:

Embedding Employability in the Curriculum through Work Integrated Learning

  • Dr Annette Clancy, UCD School of Art History and Cultural Policy
  • Associate Professor Jaime Jones, UCD School of Music
  • Dr Jennifer Keenahan, UCD School of Civil Engineering
  • Dr Elaine Wilson, UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice

Engagement through Partnership: Students as Partners in Teaching and Learning

  • Dr Rachel Farrell, UCD School of Education
  • Associate Professor Olive Lennon, UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science
  • Associate Professor Naomi McAreavey, UCD School of English, Drama and Film
  • Dr Seán Paul Teeling, UCD School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems
