Departmental Profile

The Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus, St. Vincent's Hospital comprises clinical services in general endocrinology and diabetes including a Diabetic Centre which provides an educational and counselling service for diabetic patients, an endocrine laboratory service and major research activity. Specific areas of research interest within the Department include physiological control of adrenal and gonadal function and the elucidation of disorders of these glands.
