Belfast Juggling Convention

Juggling Convention Belfast

When: Held annually in the second week of February.
Where: Main Sports Hall in QUB for the main workshops, outside QUB for the Fire Show but venues for the Gala and Renegade change annually(see map).
Who: Run by the QUB Juggling Society and Belfast Community Circus.
Fee: Usually around £15-£20 sterling entry fee.
They sometimes offer day tickets.
Should you just want to attend the Gala or Renegades they tend to offer €5 tickets which are only valid for that show.

DCP

DCP Circustravaganza

When: Sporadic.
Where: The Barn, Fredrick Court, Dublin 1 (see map).
Who: Dublin Cirucs Project.
Fee: Membership of the DCP is €1 annually.
Entry to Circustravaganza depends on the number of workshops you are attending: 1 workshop = €5, 5 workshops = €20
Other: One day of workshops in a variety of disciplines open to all ages and skill levels.

Dublin Circus Festival

Dublin Circus Festival

When: Usually held the weekend after St. Patrick's Day in March.
Where: Larkin Community College Sports Hall, Dublin 1 for the main workshops, Filmbase Temple Bar for public workshops, but venues for Gala, Renegade and Fire Show change annually (see map).
Who: Run by a committee with representatives from all of the Dublin-based Circus communities.
Fee: Prices are usually €25 for a full weekend pass, but €20 for student/unemployed.
€5 day passes are available for Saturday or Sunday.
€10 weekend ticket for children under 15.
Gala show only ticket is €10 euro on the door.
Circus workshops for the public in Temple Bar are free to attend.
Fire show is free.

European Juggling Convention 2014

European Juggling Convention 2014

When: 19th-27th July 2014
Where: Green Glens Arena, Milstreet, Cork, Ireland (see map).
Who: Run by a group of Circus Arts practitioners from all over Ireland.
Fee: Full convention passes usually run between €100-€130 depending on when you register.
There are usually discounted tickets for under 15s.
There are usually day passes and Gala only tickets available.
Other: The European Juggling Convention is a week-long festival of juggling and related circus skills, welcoming thousands of jugglers from all over the world.

Galway Juggling Convention

When: Usually around the first weekend of June.
Where: Main workshops and the Gala are in the Bailey Allen Hall, Fire Show is in the NUIG Student Bar, Renegade venue changes annually (see map).
Who: Run by NUIG Juggling Socety and Galway Community Circus.
Fee: Usually €25-€30 for a full weekend ticket.
Day tickets are usually available.
Other: Usual convention layout.

Irish Aerial Dance Festival

When: 31st May-14h June 2014.
Where: Letterkenny, Donegal. An Grianán Theatre, Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny Community Centre and Aura Leisure Centre all host workshops (see map).
Who: Run by Fidget Feet.
Fee: Details on the pricing and how to book workshops are available on the Booking page of the festival's website.
Other: Not the usual convention layout. Workshops need to be booked in advance.

National Circus Festival of Ireland, Tralee

National Circus Festival of Ireland, Tralee

When: 15th-17th November 2013.
Where: Main workshops are held in the Moyderwell National School gym, Gala and some other events are held in Siamsa Tire, Fire Show and Children's Workshops will be held in Carlton Hotel, Fidget Feet will hold a Crane Show in Denny Street (see map).
Who: Run by The Fanzini Brothers.
Fee: Full convention pass = €36.
Tickets for the Fire Show will be available on the door.
