UCD Better Bones Exercise Programme Registration is now open for individuals who are 55 or older and think they are at risk of osteoporosis (brittle bones), or know they already have osteoporosis and would like to start exercising to build better bones. Register now at the UCD Sports Centre reception desk. This 7 week programme starts on 14 August 2013 with an initial screening followed by 6 weeks of classes. Taxsaver Travel Pass Scheme October 2013 The scheme, commencing 1st October 2013, is open to staff commuting by Bus, Dart, Luas and Rail and is open to permanent staff members and employees on a contract that covers the twelve months of the travel pass scheme. Cycle to Work Scheme October 2013 The scheme for October 2013, which is open to all permanent, indefinite duration and fixed term contract staff, is now taking applications and allows staff to purchase a bicycle and associated equipment tax free up to the value of €1,000. The exemption from income tax in respect of benefit-in-kind can only be availed of once in any five year period. The closing date for the scheme commencing in October is 5pm on Wednesday 11th September 2013. For further information click here. |
