Our group is involved in unravelling the genetic causes of disease for
many breeds of dog and cat. To do this, we have started a multi-year project
documenting variations in the genetic DNA code for normal dogs and cats.
This knowledge will then be used to locate disease markers, to identify
markers for parentage / paternity testing and to look at the origins of
breeds.
Our group is also involved in the clinical diagnosis and management of
genetic diseases in the dog and cat. Please contact
us for further information.
