Constitutional Law: An Update

 

The UCD Centre for Constitutional Studies is delighted to announce that they will be hosting their annual review of the major developments in Irish constitutional law as follows: 

Date:     19 January 2023

Time:     2pm to 4.30pm

Title:      'Constitutional Law: An Update'

Venue:   UCD Sutherland School of Law (in person)

The event will examine and explain the most significant developments from 2022 and will be of interest to legal practitioners and academics.  Professor Eoin Carolan SC will address the major cases in constitutional law from 2022 and other speakers will include Dr Tom Hickey of DCU and Brian Foley SC. Topics to be covered include:

1. The leading constitutional cases of 2022.

2. The implications of Costello v. Government of Ireland.

3. The future of the proportionality doctrine in Irish constitutional law.

There are 2 CPD points offered to delegates. 

The fee to attend is €50, with a reduced rate of €25 for students, NGO's and practitioners of less than 3 years. Individual and Corporate 'Friends'* of the Centre for Constitutional Studies will also pay the reduced rate (per person).
