Launch of new Bus Services to UCD
November 2023
Phase 5b of the city wide BusConnects programme is launching from Sunday 26th November.
Phase 5b involves the introduction of Orbital routes S2, S4, S6, S8 and W2. Along with Radial route 74 and Local routes L25 and L55. Routes S2, 74 and L25 are operated by Dublin Bus and routes S4, S6, S8, W2 and L55 are operated by Go-Ahead Ireland, on behalf of TFI.
The orbital routes S4 and S6 will serve the campus directly, including using on campus bus stops at the UCD Sports Centre and main bus terminus and the new bus stops at the Newman Building and UCD Village.
Please note that the following routes will no longer be in operation: 17, 18, 61, 75/a, 76/a and 175.
This new network is being introduced on a phased basis over the coming years. This phase is serving areas including:
- Blackrock
- Tallaght
- Citywest
- Ballyfermot
- Walkinstown
- Rathfarnham
- Drimnagh
- Churchtown
- Dundrum
- Liffey Valley Shopping Centre
- Crumlin
- Stillorgan
- Monkstown
- Kimmage
- Sandyford
- Terenure
- Dún Laoghaire
- UCD
