Service Introduction

Estate Services provides vehicle rental services to support teaching and research activities in University College Dublin.

A wide range of vehicles are available for rental to all Schools and Units through Estate Services. The vehicles are available from Belfield Campus to qualified and authorised drivers complying with the UCD Vehicle Policy.

Renting a Vehicle

To rent a UCD Vehicle you will need to fill out the form linked below. Please be aware that you will require the following:

  • Authorisation from the school to charge the rental to a cost centre
  • An authorised driver that will be in charge of all aspects related to the vehicle and driving during the rental period
  • Agree to the UCD Vehicle Rental Policy

Becoming a Driver

UCD Staff and Graduate students who wish to become a driver and avail of UCD vehicles rental services, will need the following:

  • State the penalty points accumulated on their driving licence
  • Fill the approved driver form
  • Send a coloured copy of their current driving licence to estates@ucd.ie
  • Provide authorisation from the Head of the School/Unit to drive UCD vehicles by email to estates@ucd.ie
