AIN-240115 Drainage Works Between Newman Building and Lakeside

What is happening:

Due to required maintenance works to the drainage system leading from the Newman building to the lakeside, the gravelled area between the James Joyce Library and the UCD Research buildings will be used for access by contractors for the installation of pipework into the drainage system at a number of locations towards the Newman building.

The works will commence at 06.00 tomorrow morning, Tuesday 16th January with an expected completion by close of business on Wednesday 17th January.

The cleaning of the drainage system may produce some noise effects locally.

To reduce the impact of the pipework on accessibility, the main pipes will be routed over the covered walkway. However, one of the ramps leading from the Tierney Building towards the lake will be affected (see diagram below).
