SA-230918: Changes to Bicycle parking at Science North and West

What is happening:

To enable the construction of Science Phase 3, a number of bicycle parking stands are being removed from the areas of Science West and Science North for the duration of the works, with bicycle parking spaces being installed at Beech Hill as part of this process. Upon completion of the Science Phase 3 project, bicycle parking will be re-integrated as part of the landscape plan for the area.

UCD has collaborated with the National Transport Authority in a programme to enhance the number and quality of bicycle parking spaces over the past number of years, with approximately 4,000 bicycle parking spaces currently on campus. The buildings in the central core of campus are served by a number of high quality bicycle parking areas, including the secure parking area at CSCB, the double tier parking area at the James Joyce Library and the bicycle parking area at Lakeside.

Further information on sustainable travel including the locations of cycle parking spaces on campus can be found in the commuting section.
