SA-231018: Dublin City Marathon 2023

What is happening:

As in previous years due to the route of the Dublin City Marathon taking place on Sunday 29th October passing by the Belfield Campus, all vehicular gates will be closed from 9am to 5pm with the exception of the Greenfield gate (off the R138 opposite the Nutley Lane junction) which will be open from 9am to 5pm. The Belfield flyover will also be closed to vehicle traffic during this time. During the period of closures for the Marathon, there will be disruption to public transport services to and from the University.

The R138 Road (not the UCD N11 entrance and UCD flyover) is open for the duration of the event and access to UCD Belfield via the Greenfield Gate will be available.

Between 9am and 5pm, the UCD R138/N11 entrance, Wynnsward Drive entrance, Richview entrance and the Newstead entrance will be closed on Sunday 29th. The Owenstown Park entrance will remain closed throughout Sunday 29th, as per normal arrangements.

The Greenfield Gate will be open from 9am to 5pm only.

UCD Internal traffic calming barriers will be in the open for the day.

Pedestrian entrances will remain open as per normal Sunday arrangements.
