DNI Job Opportunity | Research Co-Ordinator in Neurology

An opportunity is available for a Research Co-Ordinator in Neurology in the (opens in a new window)Dublin Neurological Institute (DNI).

Position summary

Applications are invited for a part time Research Co-Ordinator post.

  1. Work with Neurological team, which includes consultants, research nurses, nurses, HSCP, admin + management and students.
  2. Assist with our strategy of research, education +training and innovation.
  3. Assist with the development of the DNI+ Mater neurology towards our academic + health service model.
  4. Assist with grant writing, ethics, financial budgeting + admin, progress reporting and achieving objectives and desired outcomes. This will include liaise with organisations such as Health Research Boards (HRB), Michael J Fox Foundation (MJFF), Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) and Irish Institute Clinical Neurology (IICN).
  5. Liaise with MMUH, Pillar at the Mater Hospital, IEHG and UCD.
  6. Part time role, 2.5 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • The research co-ordinator will assist in the development of the data collection protocols and ethics applications.
  • The research co-ordinator will manage the fieldwork data collection.
  • The research co-ordinator will assist research registrars.
  • The research co-ordinator will contribute to the data entry, data analysis and final reporting/write up.
  • The research co-ordinator will contribute to research admin and assisting the research manager.
  • The research co-ordinator will attend and contribute to group meetings.
  • The research co-ordinator will carry out any duties deemed appropriate under the role.

12 months.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications Requirements for prospective candidates may include degree in relevant biomedical sciences, ideally with post-graduate qualifications (MSc/PhD).

Knowledge & Experience

Previous experience of working in a biomedical research environment
