Welcome Message

Welcome to the website of our groundbreaking project, "Towards a Systems-based Digital Platform for Agricultural Land Use Planning, Management Decision, and Inventory Reporting (HOLOS-IE)." This pioneering initiative is generously funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) in partnership with the Government of Ireland and the European Commission Recovery and Resilience Facility.

We are excited to embark on this innovative journey, with the aim of revolutionising agricultural land use planning and management to achieve carbon neutrality on farms. Our mission involves exploring alternative land uses, mitigation strategies, and cutting-edge technologies to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, while simultaneously enhancing carbon sequestration, reducing environmental pollution, and minimising our carbon footprint.

By harnessing state-of-the-art digital technology, programming languages, and GIS as well as fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, our goal is to develop the comprehensive digital tool, HOLOS-IE, and lay the foundation for HOLOS-EU in the future. These tools are designed to empower farmers, advisors, policymakers, and stakeholders with evidence-based, data-driven solutions, promoting soil health, sustainable productivity, biodiversity and ecosystem services, bio-economy, and environmental stewardship.

The participation and support of all stakeholders are invaluable to us, and we anticipate remarkable advancements in agricultural practices. We invite you to join us in shaping the future of climate-resilient agricultural systems and stay tuned for exciting developments ahead.
