Gathered here is a list of some open and upcoming funding calls that may be of interest to One Health researchers at various stages in their career. Zoetis, UCD and UC Davis

UCD2 Transatlantic One Health Alliance

  • A PRE-CALL ANNOUNCEMENT HAS BEEN MADE IN ADVANCE OF THIS CALL - see here
  • Funding from Zoetis to support One Health research collaborations between UCD and UC Davis, California
  • Call for applications to Round 3 to be announced in December 2022

DAFM

Thematic Research Call 2023

  • Funding for multidisciplinary research to enabling Ireland to become a world leader in sustainable agri food, forest and bio-based systems
  • Areas of interest include climate mitigation and adaptation, biodiversity and water quality, sustainable farming, animal health and welfare, social sustainability, the bioeconomy, agri-digitalisation, and safe, healthy sustainable food
  • Deadline for submission 21st April 2023

HRB/IRC

Dorothy Postdoc Programme (2022)

  • 25 three-year postdoc fellowships allowing researchers to work in both overseas and Irish research institutions for 18 months, respectively
  • Researchers from all disciplines will be eligible, provided project falls within remit of public-health crises
  • Deadline for application 21st June 2023

NIFA/DAERA/DAFM

US-Ireland Research and Development Partnership - Agriculture thematic area

  • Joint funding from The US National Insitute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), Northern Ireland's Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) and Republic of Ireland's Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM)
  • €350,000 for up to 5 years
  • Open, rolling application window
