If you’re selected to be a Peer Mentor you’ll be invited to complete mandatory training where you can meet other Peer Mentors from across the university and get to know the team who will support you in the role.

As well as the satisfaction you'll get from helping new students settle in, being a peer mentor has other great benefits too:

  • Attend training and Orientation days.
  • Contact your mentees when they accept their place (before Orientation).
  • Organise four group meeting with your mentees in the first trimester.
  • Share extended orientation topics with your mentees (we send this to you)  .
  • Respond to individual requests from your mentees from time to time.
  • Maintain contact with them until the start of trimester 2.
