Crataegus Thorn or Hawthorn

A genus comprising trees and shrubs, two species Crataegus monogyna and C. oxycantha are native in this country and are important hedgerow species.  Some forms of Thorn grow well in urban situation where they will withstand pollution and poor growing conditions.
