UCD Athletes Complete Historic Double

Sarah Healy (left) and Darragh McElhinney (right) claimed their first national senior titles at the 123.ie National Cross Country Championships on November 20th.
The UCD pair were the stars on the day and the Club made history as UCD athletes winning both the men’s and women’s title has never been done before at this event, or any other!
The women’s race ended up in an exciting duel between Healy and UCD alumni Ciara Mageean, with Healy crossing the line 15 seconds clear.
The men’s race saw McElhinney comfortably finish the race with a sizable gap to win his first senior gold.
