Job Opportunity: Research Assistant (Part-Time, Temporary – 10 Months)

The UCD School of Politics and International Relations is inviting applications for a Research Assistant (Part-Time, 0.4 FTE, 10 months) position to join the interdisciplinary project Empowering Malawian Women Farmers through Precision Agriculture and Market E-Linkages (EMPOWER-ME).
Funded by Research Ireland and Irish Aid, this project seeks to address gender disparities in agricultural productivity by co-developing gender-responsive digital agricultural technologies (DATs) tailored to the needs of women farmers in Malawi.
Role Overview
The Research Assistant will play a key role in supporting the project’s communications, dissemination, and engagement strategy. Responsibilities include:

Maintaining the project website and social media channels

Organising dissemination events

Coordinating communications with project partners

Supporting the development of outputs such as policy briefs, newsletters, and working papers

Assisting with light research support tasks
This dynamic role offers valuable experience in research communication, digital content management, and stakeholder engagement within an international development context.
Salary
€33,291 – €43,372 per annum, pro rata @ 0.4FTE
(Appointment within this range will depend on qualifications and experience.)
