Data sign

Join us every Thursday morning, either in-person from 10.45am or online from 11am, to hear about new environmental, climate and sustainability research and initiatives from UCD and beyond.

Research talk

Physics-Informed Spatial Data Analysis will be presented by Dr Michelle Carey from UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics

Overview

Functional Data Analysis, or FDA, helps advance statistical methodology for analysing processes that evolve over time and/or space.

At (opens in a new window)FDA@UCD, the team's research spans spatio-temporal modelling, network-based analysis of interactions among entities (e.g., genes within the human body), and the study of longitudinal or sensor data  that may include missing observations.

Through these approaches, the team aims to uncover interpretable structure and extract insight high-dimensional, complex data.
