Plants for the Future theme leads Rainer Melzer and Aisling Reilly invite you to this tour of the Conway Institute imaging core facility, hosted by its director Dimitri Scholz. The facility spans all aspects of light and electron microscopy as well as sample preparation and image processing and analysis facilities. We will meet at 12 in the Science Centre by the main central staircase on the ground floor and walk over as a group to the Conway Institute for 12:15. After the tour we will return to the Science Centre (E2.14) for an informal theme meeting at 13:00. Our theme meetings are an opportunity to meet researchers from across the university working on a broad range of topics related to the seven Institute themes. They are a great way to meet new members, to find out what people are working on and explore potential collaborations. We’ll invite everyone to introduce themselves and their plant related research interests in just one minute, over lunch (no slide required). Faculty, postdocs, PhD students and support staff working in this area are invited, so please feel free to share this with your team members if relevant. This is an in person event only.
