Teaching

Group of people under a tree

Trees and shrubs on UCD’s Belfield campus  support a wide range of teaching across the university. The campus collections are used by the School of Biology and Environmental Science, the School of Agriculture and Food Science and the Landscape Architecture unit in the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy. With over 1000 students enrolled onto modules and courses in these schools the plant collections are well used for teaching in the areas of forestry, horticulture and botany teaching with over 200 plant species on site available for plant identification and taxonomy, ecology, pollination biology observations and plant pest and diseases samples.
