Fourth Governing Authority to Hold Office for Five Years
The Fourth Governing Authority of UCD will hold office for five years, commencing 01 February 2009.
This decision was made by the current Authority at its meeting on 17 June 2008, when it approved the report of a Working Party established to make recommendations on the duration and composition of the Fourth Governing Authority, and on regulations for election to it.
Elections in the three staff panels - professorial; non-professorial academic; and non-academic - will be conducted by postal ballot. Formal notification of the election, together with a nomination paper, will be posted to members of the three staff elective bodies in the second week of October. Nominations will close on 29 October 2008 at 5.00 p.m.
Voting papers and other election documents will be posted to members of the three staff elective bodies in the week commencing 03 November. Polling will close on 25 November at 5.00 p.m. The counting of votes will take place on 26 and 27 November.
