Nominations open in by-election to Governing Authority
Nomination papers have been posted to UCD professorial staff in connection with an election to fill one casual vacancy on the fourth Governing Authority. The vacancy arises from the retirement of Professor Mary Daly. The Authority will hold office until 31 January 2014.
Membership of the elective body in the professorial staff panel is published on the Governing Authority website
Nominations will close on Wednesday, 25 April 2012 at 5.00 p.m.
If more than one nomination is received, voting papers and other election documents will be posted to members of the professorial elective body in the week commencing 30 April. Postal voting will close on 23 May at 5.00 p.m. The counting of votes will take place on 24 May.
The professorial staff elective body comprises the President, Professors and Associate Professors, full-time and part-time, as on 1 March 2012, and Professors and Associate Professors holding fixed-term appointments of three or more years' duration on 1 March 2012.
In the event of a conflict regarding membership of the elective body, the decision of the Chairman of the Governing Authority shall be final.
