How can I see a psychiatrist?

How can I see a psychiatrist?

How can I see a psychiatrist?

The first step is to book an appointment with one of the GPs at the UCD Student Health Service.
Our GPs are experienced in assessing and managing a wide range of mental health concerns.

If referral to a psychiatrist is needed this will usually be to the local community mental health service (through the Irish public health system).

Sometimes, referral to a private psychiatrist is necessary- eg. for ADHD assessment and management.

UCD Student Health Service has limited access to a part-time psychiatrist.
A GP within the service may refer to this psychiatrist if appropriate, subject to appointment availability.
