I would like to make a nurse appointment

To book an appointment with the nurse, please phone 01 716 3134. Please mention what type of appointment you require at the time of booking.

Appointments with a nurse must be booked in advance.  Further charges will apply for specialised appointments & tests.

Students can attend a nurse at the UCD Student Health Service for the following:

Blood Tests

To book an appointment for a blood test with a nurse in the UCD Student Health Service, you will first need a referral from a doctor at the UCD Student Health Service.   Blood tests can be done at the UCD Student Health Service in the morning only.

We can also assist you in having blood tests done when ordered by doctors and consultants outside of the UCD Student Health Service. An initial telephone consultation will be necessary with one of our doctors.  The blood test result will then be reviewed by one of our doctors before being forwarded to you. You are responsible for forwarding the result to your external doctor.

Contraception

Your first prescription for contraception must be issued by a doctor in the UCD Student Health Service.
Follow-up consultations for renewal of prescriptions may be made with the nurse.
