On Campus in UCD Belfield

Healthy UCD, in partnership with the HSE and UCD Student Health, are delighted to continue delivering theFree QUIT Programmeon the Belfield Campus from September 2025.  The programme is open to ALL on campus - students and staff - and is being delivered in the UCD Village for the whole academic year.Register your interest below and we will contact you to arrange your appointment.

What you need to know:

  • Appointments are offered from 9am-3pm every Thursday 
  • Appointments are 1:1 with the HSE Stop Smoking Advisor - the initial appointment is 1hr and follow-ups were 30 minutes
  • Free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) is provided 
  • Support was also provided to help people stop vaping (*note: NRT is not provided in this case)
  • You can join at any stage throughout the year

What's involved?

The Stop Smoking Advisor helps you make a QUIT plan and together you discuss:

  • Your current smoking habits
  • NRT
  • Your concerns about quitting
  • Setting a QUIT date
  • How to cope with cravings and withdrawal symptoms

You also have the opportunity to test your carbon monoxide levels at each appointment to track your progress.
