Reduced mowing at UCD leads to pyramidal orchid research

What happened when UCD Estate Services stopped mowing a patch of grass between the car park and the road behind the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science ?

Wildflowers bloomed, pollinators returned - and pyramidal orchids sprang up.
