Faculty from across CHAS took part in the CARA (Collaborate, Analyse, Research and Audit) Network conference which took place on October 3rd 2023 at the Ashling Hotel, Dublin, led by Prof. Akke Vellinga of UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science.

The all-Ireland collaborative conference brought together participants from the Island of Ireland and featured presentations from national and international experts. Participants were encouraged to share their research, propose interventions and stewardship programmes, develop new collaborations and present new methodologies in the area of antibiotic prescribing and infections.

The overarching objective was to support, develop and implement a collaborative approach to the challenges and future of infection management including how to meet the challenge of antibiotic resistance.
