Postgraduate Research Facilities

Our School is accommodated in 6,300 square metres of scientific research space for researchers in the main Science Centre. In an adjacent wing, 32,000 square metres of undergraduate, taught postgraduate, research, innovation and outreach facilities are available for School use. Our labs are home to spectroscopy techniques such as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-Visible spectrophotometers, DLS, zeta potential, NMR.

In addition to the undergraduate facilities available, each research group has access to the top-end equipment needed to facilitate your Master’s programme. As part of the MSc Nanomaterials Chemistry course you’ll also have access to interdisciplinary laboratories across UCD, such as Rheology, biomedical coreAtomic Force microscopy and various microscopy techniques .
