UCD provides a number of services to support students' health and wellbeing during their time in UCD. These include:

UCD Student Health

UCD Student Health offers a wide range of health care services to support UCD students. Details of services provided and how to access them can be found at www.ucd.ie/stuhealth, which also has some very useful resources for managing your health and wellbeing.

UCD Student Counselling

UCD Student Counselling is a free and confidential service staffed by professionally qualified psychologists and counsellors.

In addition to one-to-one counselling, they often run talks and workshops for students on a variety of topics related to mental health and wellbeing.

Health and Fitness

Healthy UCD for useful tips on balancing a healthy lifestyle and UCD Sport and Fitness has details of the UCD Sport & Fitness gym and swimming pool located on UCD campus. You may also find fun and healthy activities to take part in through (opens in a new window)UCD Societies.

Coping with mental or physical ill health

If you have health issues and these are impacting your studies, there is help available. Please reach out to your Student Adviser.

Some unforeseen circumstances may fall under the Extenuating Circumstances policy. Details of the Extenuating Circumstances policy can be found here and your Student Adviser can guide you through this process if you need assistance. 

Silvercloud is an online mental health support system based on cognitive behavioural techniques. It is free to all UCD students.
