Appointments
We provide on campus medical health care for all registered students of UCD. Our team of doctors, nurses and a part time psychiatrist and addiction counsellor offer professional, confidential care dealing with both physical and mental health issues as well as contraception, sexual health, and prescriptions renewal.

Can’t make it to your appointment or no longer need it?
In April 2024 "208" students did not attend or cancel their appointment.
If you cancel your appointment, even at short notice, we can offer the appointment to another student who needs it.

I am feeling unwell today. I need an urgent appointment
Please phone 01 716 3134 early in the morning (9:30am) if you are unwell to request one of these appointments.
If you are feeling acutely unwell, in pain or distressed and need to be seen urgently, we offer urgent same day appointments.
These appointments deal with your urgent problem and you may be asked to make a separate appointment to deal with any other issues.
Although we will try our best, we may not be able to offer you a the same day appointment, here is a list of alternative GPs on (opens in a new window)www.hse.ie when we are unable to facilitate you.
I need a non-urgent appointment
Please phone 01 716 3134 to book an appointment with a doctor or nurse for a routine or ongoing problem. Students may have to wait a week or two for routine appointments with the doctor.
Examples of routine appointments are: Medicals, electives, contraception, renewing regular prescriptions or a routine check up.
If you have a preference for a female or male doctor, please let reception know at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Also, we would kindly ask students to take a note of date and time arranged for your appointment at the time of making it, and if possible set a reminder for yourself. If you need to cancel or rearrange , please call us on 01 716 3134 as soon as you can so that we can offer this appointment to another student who may need it.
