Dr Kevin Costello

Kevin is a Senior Lecturer in the Sutherland School of Law University College Dublin. His publications include monographs on The Law of Habeas Corpus in Ireland (2006) and The Court of Admiralty of Ireland 1575-1893 (2011), as well as articles on aspects of English and Irish legal history, administrative law and employment law, published in English, Irish and American journals. His principal current research interest is in the history of judicial review of administrative action in English law between the seventeenth and twentieth centuries. In 2014, he was one of the first recipients of the Irish National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning Teaching Heroes Award. He was the first EDI officer in the School of Law. 

Dr Rachel Farrell

Rachel is an Assistant Professor of Initial Teacher Education (ITE) in the School of Education, UCD whose research interests include partnership in education, technology enhanced learning and global citizenship education. Rachel is the director of the Professional Master of Education Programme (PME) programme where she teaches Inclusive Pedagogy & Portfolio, Curriculum & Assessment and Practitioner Research. Prior to her current role in UCD, Rachel was seconded from her teaching post as a teacher of Economics, Business and Maths, to the Professional Development Services for Teacher (PDST). As a Co-PI on the Power2Progress (www.power2progress.ie) initiative, Rachel works with schools to provide additional tuition in leaving certificate subjects to students in DEIS schools. Rachel is working with colleagues in the School of Education to develop an inclusive academic advising digital hub entitled Staying ConnectED whereby the School of Education will have a one stop shop for all student supports including supports for UDL in teaching, learning and assessment.

Dr Muireann Ní Raghallaigh 

Muireann is an assistant professor of Social Work at the School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice. She previously worked as a social worker with unaccompanied asylum seeking children and her research focuses on the lived experiences of refugees and those seeking international protection. Muireann is Chair of UCD’s University of Sanctuary Committee and also sits on UCD’s Widening Participation Committee. She is interested in all aspects of student access and inclusion, particularly issues impacting on Black and ethnic minority students. She is committed to ensuring that UCD is truly a University for All. Dr Ernesto Vasquez del Aguila

Ernesto is an Assistant Professor/Ad Astra Fellow at the School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice. By background he is a medical anthropologist with a PhD from Columbia University, New York. He has published on areas of sexual and reproductive rights; transnational migration; global health; masculinities; and sexualities. He received the Award for Excellence in Global Health, from the School of Public Health, Columbia University. He co-edited Unsustainable Institutions of Men: Transnational Dispersed Centres, Gender Power, Contradictions (Routledge 2019) and is the author of Being a Man in a Transnational World: The Masculinity and Sexuality of Migration (Routledge 2014). He has previously taught at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima; Georgetown University, Washington, DC; and at the University of the Philippines, Manila.

Professor Graeme Warren

Graeme is a Professor in UCD School of Archaeology, and has been in UCD for over 20 years. He is a specialist in the archaeology of deep time hunter-gatherers, with a special interest in the early Holocene of north west Europe and mountain landscapes. He is an active fieldworker, with current projects in Ireland and Scotland. He is also a keen mountain runner.
