Launch of collaborative initiatives for sustainability and inclusion

Two new initiatives to champion sustainability and inclusion were launched by UCD Access and Lifelong Learning, UCD Library and UCD Students Union on 4 March 2025: 

(opens in a new window)The UCD Library of Things is the first of its kind in an Irish university. By borrowing items, students and staff are supporting a Community of Sharing, promoting sustainability, equity, and reduced waste. All items can be borrowed for free by students and staff of the university. 

(opens in a new window)The Loop, UCD's repair café, is a comfortable space that is free to use. The room contains all the materials students and staff need for things like clothing repair, knitting, sewing, embroidery and lots of other crafts. These initiatives are supported by UCD Sustainability Seed funding.
