Navilens in use for UCD orientation

Look out for the colourful NaviLens codes across the campus and download the NaviLens app to get started using them. UCD is the first university in Ireland to use the NaviLens inclusive information and wayfinding app. The codes are being used on this year's UCD orientation signage to provide information on how to navigate the campus and orientation events.

As a University for All, it’s important that we can all find our way around the campus environment in a way that works for us and get the support we need as we need it. NaviLens is a flexible, accessible tool that offers customisable instructions to find key campus sites and provides direct access to support resources. Offering audio-cues, written text and vibrations to indicate distances and directions, NaviLens helps users to independently navigate the world around them.

This is particularly important for internal spaces that cannot be easily captured by tools such as Google Maps. Navilens has been rolled out in many areas of campus in and has been used very successfully by our diverse student and staff population.
