Primary School Initiatives
We collaborate with a range of UCD and community partners on a number of primary school outreach initiatives to give students opportunities to see what Higher Education might have to offer them in the future.

Law in the Classroom
In a unique embedded outreach model, UCD partners with primary schools as part of the Law in the Classroom Module led by Dr Suzanne Egan.
The initiative is a collaboration between our local primary school community partners, UCD Sutherland School of Law and UCD Access & Lifelong Learning.
The overall goal of the Module is to prepare UCD law students to act as role models and active participants in demystifying the law and the legal profession for primary school children, whilst giving them opportunities to see what Higher Education might have to offer them in the future.

I Decide
The I Decide storytelling project gives 5th and 6th class primary school students a taste of university life.
Students have a campus tour and interactive workshop sessions in UCD followed by facilitated school sessions where they each create a story or a comic strip about “A Day in the Life of a University Student”. The stories are then collated into a book available in both printed and digital versions. Check out the digital version of a recent (opens in a new window)amazing I Decide book!
