Open Learning is a part-time entry pathway to UCD that allows you to select from over 450 undergraduate modules across our six colleges and the Centre for English and Global Languages. Study with other undergraduates and learn from our academic staff, at your own pace, while enjoying all the benefits of being a UCD student, from Library access to learning support.

You can use Open Learning for professional development, to pursue long-held or brand new interests, support an application as a Mature Student, or to try and qualify to one of 17 full-time undergraduate degrees through our Progression Pathways.

You can also take Open Learning modules for Audit (no assessment), and will have full access to UCD's libraries, societies, and supports.

Click on the options below for details on each strand of Open Learning, and if you’re unsure which part-time programme suits you best, complete our (opens in a new window)interactive part-time guide by answering some straightforward questions.

Browse our available modules on our Modules page.

You can also see our Frequently Asked Questions.
