Dyslexia Screening Service
If you are a UCD student experiencing difficulties with reading, writing or spelling, you can avail of a free Dyslexia Screening Service. Please note the screening will not provide you with a diagnosis of dyslexia and the appointment will last approximately two hours. If you would like to arrange an appointment, please email (opens in a new window)disability@ucd.ie.
The dyslexia screening is the first step in identifying signs of specific learning difficulties. The screening may provide clarity for a student around the impact of dyslexia on their learning and study. Following a positive screening result, we can suggest learning and study strategies.
The outcome of your screening will be shared with you in a meeting either in-person or online. If the outcome of your screening suggests you may be dyslexic.
- You will be advised to contact the Disability Support Service to complete a Needs Assessment where you may be able to avail of limited in-class and exam support.
- You may wish to seek an Educational Psychologist’s Assessment.
