One Health AgriTech Summit 2025 - Iowa State and Kansas State Universities

August 21, 2025 - together with Enterprise Ireland, we were delighted to welcome the Governor Reynolds of Iowa State and First Gentleman, delegations from Iowa State University and Kansas State University, and our industry partners (opens in a new window)Dairymaster, (opens in a new window)EASYFIX, (opens in a new window)JFC Agri , and (opens in a new window)Bimeda to UCD Lyons Farm for the One Health AgTech Summit.

The visit formed part of the wider Aer Lingus College Football Classic events, but the focus at Lyons Farm was firmly on building meaningful transatlantic partnerships in agriculture and One Health.

The Summit brought together leading researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs from Ireland and the U.S. to explore shared priorities:
🌍 Tackling antimicrobial resistance
🐄 Advancing animal welfare
💻 Driving digital transformation in agriculture
🌱 Promoting sustainable food systems

The Governor of Iowa State and summit delegates enjoyed a tour of UCD Lyons Farm in conjunction with Industry partners and (opens in a new window)Enterprise Ireland Executive Director Kevin Sherry and team.

Ireland is recognised globally as a trusted leader in sustainable agri-tech, exporting to over 140 countries with annual global sales exceeding €1 billion. Yesterday’s gathering highlighted the strength of our innovation ecosystem and our shared commitment to collaboration, sustainability, and global impact.

UCD Lyons Farm served as a unique platform connecting UCD, Iowa State University, and Kansas State University with Enterprise Ireland and leading agri-tech companies. By bringing together universities, industry, and enterprise, the Summit fostered meaningful collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation, building partnerships that will drive progress in agriculture and One Health across Ireland, the United States, and beyond.
