Postdoctoral Researchers
At UCD Conway Institute, postdoctoral researchers are affiliated to the Institute by virtue of their supervisor being a Conway Fellow. Currently, there are in excess of 120 postdoctoral researchers working with Conway Fellows and playing pivotal roles within their teams - typically mentoring graduates and managing the daily operation of research activities and administration of funded projects.
We aim to support emerging investigators in their career development pathway by providing key opportunities for ancillary training bespoke to the specific area of biomedical sciences in terms of leadership (e.g. chairing symposia), networking (e.g. with industry, peers) and workshops/discussion fora around common themes (e.g. research areas, technology aspects, public engagement, patient involvement).
The community of Conway early career researchers have access to infrastructural supports such as the core technology platforms as well as continuing professional development courses and seminars.
