Digital pathology offers increased efficiency, enhanced collaboration, improved accessibility, and advanced image analysis capabilities. The Research Pathology Core has two digital slide scanners that can digitise glass slides.
These scanners can perform whole slide scanning, at either 20X or 40X magnification to produce seamless, whole slide images in minutes, with a corresponding resolution of 0.5uM/pixel or 0.25uM/pixel. The scanners can scan any tissue sample (full-face, biopsy or tissue microarray (TMA) slides). A dedicated server ensures secure storage and hosting of digital slides.
