Professor Murphy is Associate Professor of Statistics in the School of Mathematical Sciences in UCD. He completed a BSc (Mathematics & Statistics)in University College Cork,an MSc (Mathematics)in University College Cork(Statistics) an MA (Statistics) in Yale University, and a PhD (Statistics) in Yale University.
