Competition Conversations Hosts Dr Edoardo Rossi on the DMA and Private International Law
The Competition Conversations Network at UCD Sutherland School of Law recently welcomed Dr Edoardo Rossi, Associate Professor of International Law at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo and Vice-Dean for International Relations and Erasmus Programme Coordinator, for an engaging discussion on his paper, “Digital Markets Act (DMA) in the light of private international law: problematic issues.”
Dr Rossi discussed the DMA’s ambition to foster a transparent and competitive digital environment and explored how the DMA’s unilateral scope and references to “applicable national law” interact with private international law rules.
The session sparked a rich discussion among the CCN’s members on the interface between EU digital regulation and private international law, particularly in the context of global platform governance.
