About the project

What people eat and drink is extremely difficult to measure accurately. It is important to have accurate information on dietary intakes of populations and individuals in order to accurately monitor the dietary intake of the nation and evaluate the efficacy of health promotion strategies. The Foodbook24 project is collaboration between University College Dublin (UCD) and University College Cork (UCC) and is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine. The project aims to use technology to improve the assessment of dietary intakes. The team has developed and validated a web-based 24 hour recall method of dietary assessment, to ensure Ireland remains at the forefront of dietary assessment in Europe. We are now looking for individuals to take part in our research. If you are interested in using the Foodbook24 tool and receiving free feedback about your diet, you can register by clicking (opens in a new window)here.

***PLEASE NOTE - The study has now finished and those who sign up from 25/10/2016 will NOT receive feedback***
