University of Texas at Dallas has major initiatives in Nano-Bio area including the “Texas Biomedical Devices Center” and the “Texas Medical Research Collaborative (TxMRC)” among others.

(opens in a new window)Minary’s group is within the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Alan McDiarmid NanoTech Institute and currently has 7 PhD students and one Research Scientist. The group is associated with the Departments of Bioengineering and Materials Science and Engineering. The research in the group is funded ay US Air Force (AFOSR), US Navy (ONR), and National Science Foundation (NSF).
