The object of Irish Script on Screen (ISOS) is to create digital images of Irish manuscripts, and to make these images - together with relevant commentary - accessible on a WWW site. ISOS is a project of the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies and is funded by the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. The UCD-OFM A manuscript collection can be accessed through ISOS.

The Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe is based in the historic St Anthony’s College in Leuven, Belgium. Established in 1984, the Institute provides tailor-made residential programmes for all sectors in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, particularly Business, Higher Education, the Public Sector and the non-profit sector. It also promotes all forms of cultural activity, from both parts of Ireland, including the Arts, Theatre, Dance, Music and Literature.

The UCD Digital Library (formerly, the IVRLA) is a major digitization and digital object management project based in UCD. It was devised as a means to preserve elements of UCD's main repositories and to facilitate access to this material through the careful adoption of digitization technologies. 


The Special Collections Library in UCD Library houses a large collection of early printed books and incunabula which have been transferred from the Franciscan Order in recent years. For images of some of these rare documents and book, see above website.


Thesaurus Linguae Hibernicae is a project of the School of Irish, Celtic Studies, Irish Folklore & Linguistics at University College Dublin. It aims to provide web access to digital editions of texts in Early and Medieval Irish as a research tool for scholars and resource for teachers.


Reading East: Irish Sources and Resources is a valuable catalogue of early modern printed texts which attest to the contact between Europe and the 'East'. The texts are from Irish research libraries and contain items from the Franciscan collection.
