Summer celebrations as over 1000 UCD graduates conferred

Over 1,000 students at University College Dublin were conferred with their degrees this month.
Across two ceremonies during June, undergraduates and graduates had the opportunity to celebrate their academic achievements.
There 348 undergraduate degrees conferred in Science, Children's and General Nursing, Nursing, Midwifery, Radiography, Veterinary Nursing and Veterinary Medicine.
Alongside this, 226 masters’ degrees were awarded for the College of Engineering and Architecture, College of Health & Agricultural Sciences and College of Science.
Some 140 Doctor Degrees were conferred, with 69 PhDs in Science, 37 PhDs in Engineering & Architecture, 16 PhDs in Agriculture, 13 PhDs and DVMS Degrees in Veterinary, 4 PhDs Medicine, Public Health and Nursing and 1 PhD in Sociology.
For the June conferrings there were also 308 graduate diplomas in the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
The receptions for the June conferring ceremonies took place in the conservatory in O'Reilly Hall.
UCD confers over 8,000 graduates every year as a part of its person graduation ceremonies.
