Ideally a primary 2:1 degree in any discipline. Applications from candidates with relevant business work experience that perhaps is more recent than their initial degree are welcome to apply and we will give the application serious consideration.

This is a fully accredited, UCD course that equips participants with a broad perspective of project and programme management, as well as key business and interpersonal skills.

This delivery mode makes it suitable to busy professionals who are time poor by enabling participants based all over Ireland and further afield to join our programme and build their network. Online classes are synchronous and students are required to join live online 6-9pm (Dublin time) on Monday and Wednesday evenings (year one) and Tuesday and Thursday evenings (year two).

All students are entitled to Graduate Membership of the IMCA (Institute of Management Consultants & Advisors in Ireland) for the duration of the course and one-year post-qualification. All students are also entitled to register as student members of the APM (Association for Project Management) for the duration of their studies.

Most participants on the part time MSc in PM have at least a few years of experience in employment. Perhaps you are an "Accidental project manager" - running projects without the title (or perhaps even any formal training). You might be a project team member, and wanting to move up to running your own projects. No matter what your discipline or business, project management skills will enable you to become more effective in your business role.

Graduates of this programme have flourished in roles such as Project Manager, Programme Planner, Project Engineer Development Manager or Management Consultant. The programme provides a springboard to employment by a range of prestigious companies, including Accenture, Microsoft, PwC and Vodafone or alternatively facilitates promotion, or changes in career paths.

They also gain first-hand insight into how to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and master the organisational and human issues involved in managing projects.

The programme enables students to connect in new ways that better suit their preferences and professional commitments. The online mode of delivery allows busy professionals to obtain all the benefits of a world-class academic Masters programme without putting their careers on hold.
