Secure and finalise space and equipment

Space allocation in the university is generally handled at a local level, and the procedures for requesting space varies by local practice. However, it is always best to discuss your space requirements with your Head of School or Institute Director at the proposal stage, not after the grant has been won. Lack of suitable space at the right time can often cause unnecessary delays to research programmes.

Local Supports

  • The UCD O'Brien Centre for Science has a space committee and building manager. Contact: Elaine Murphy, Science Operations Manager elaine.a.murphy@ucd.ie or phone 2866.
  • For other Colleges and Institutes, you will need to speak with your Head of School or Institute Director about your requirements.
