UCD Impact Case Study Competition - Terms & Conditions

 

  1. This competition is open to all temporary and permanent academic and post-doctoral staff at UCD, regardless of discipline.
  2. Application forms must be complete. Incomplete application forms will not be evaluated by the Judging Panel.
  3. Applicants may submit more than one case study to the competition if they are demonstrating the research impact of different research projects.
  4. No supplementary material (apart from relevant images) will be accepted. All relevant material must be included in the application form. Application forms must be completed to a high professional standard.
  5. By entering this competition, you give UCD Research and Innovation permission to publish your case study, in whole or in part, on their website(s), and use it in any other marketing or promotional materials.
  6. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the research team and all collaborators (involved in the research or impact) are recognised in the case study, and that they are informed of the application to this competition.
  7. The application must comply with UCD Policies on Research Integrity and Research Ethics.
  8. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make themselves aware of the full requirements of the competition.
  9. The competition will close at 5pm on the closing date, following which no further applications will be accepted.
  10. All entries will undergo an initial compliance review, conducted by the project team. Entries that adhere to these Terms and Conditions will be sent to the Judging Panel.
  11. If a large number of entries is received, the project team will give each entry an initial score in accordance with the Judging Criteria, and only the highest scoring applications will be sent to the Judging Panel.
  12. The project team and Judging Panel's decision is final, and the judging process cannot be reopened once completed. Unsuccessful applicants are welcome to resubmit in future years.
